Measure the Pet Lying Down |
A. Measure the pet lying down at rest. Should be as your dog or cat is normally accustomed to lying comfortably.
B. Measure your pet from nose or front legs, to back legs or rump;
add 9" to 12."
C. Pick the size of the pet bed for your dog or cat that will best fit those measurements, remembering that round bed measurements are in diameter (width across the circle). |

Use the Weight of the Pet |
A. Using weight of your dog or cat - use the following guidelines of the round pet beds:
(can be applied to the rectangular pet beds):
- Small - 24" diameter round = pet up to 25 lbs
- Medium - 35" diameter round = pet up to 40 lbs
- Large - 43" diameter round = pet up to 85 lbs
- Xtra Large - 54" diameter round = pet up to 140 lbs - 175 lbs
*** But always remember, weight is the less perfect guideline to go by. The best method is the measuring of size (see step #1) |
